MAC Is Launching a Genderless Makeup Line
Just last year, MAC dismantled industry norms when it announced Caitlyn Jenner as its latest celebrity spokesmodel. The collaboration quickly gave way to a lipstick called Finally Free ($17), a poignant tribute to Jenner's transition, as well as the brand's AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative. But after months of waiting for a follow-up product, they've done us several better: The first full Caitlyn Jenner for MAC collection is set to hit shelves this week.
Continuing the collaboration's MO of respect and inclusivity, MAC says that the range was created for virtually all makeup fans, regardless of age, gender, or race—as beauty ought to be. "Elegant, classic shades for lips, eyes and cheeks are beautifully suited for those who embrace life, in whatever form they choose," the brand says in a new press release.
The collection includes lip gloss, lipstick, eyeliner, and eye shadow, all in a variety of rich, lustrous shades. Look for it in stores and online on January 5.
