Lauren Conrad's Makeup Artist Shares Her Top Eyeliner Picks
If there’s one makeup artist who knows eyeliner, it’s got to be the woman who has spent all these years perfecting Lauren Conrad’s signature winged liner. So we asked Amy Nadine to dish on the best eyeliners—the ones every woman needs, and exactly how to use them. Scroll through for her top picks (some of which may surprise you)!
“A waterproof liquid liner is another essential. I love Mark’s What a Line Max Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, because it won’t feather into fine lines and it will last all day and night. It’s what Lauren Conrad has used for years, and when brands send me new ones, we’ll do a side-by-side comparison on the back of my hand, and the Mark one always wins.”
“Everyone needs a good dry shadow liner. Estée Lauder Magic Smoky Sticks are insane, and you can use them as a liner or to do graphic shapes. I used the black one recently on Karla Souza for a benefit gala, filling in her entire lid and crease with it and then winging it out. It goes on dry like a powder, but you can blend it with your finger or a brush. Once it’s set, it won’t move. It’s a soft, sexy little thing.”
“For a flawless, classic eye look, you need a good kohl liner. Tom Ford’s Eye Defining Pencils are pigmented perfectly and very smudgeable. I would die without them in my kit!”
“When doing a pretty nude eye using my Amy Nadine Renewing Nudes Palette ($16), I love rimming the inner waterline with a kajal liner. Unfortunately, most of them run or don’t stay put. Charlotte Tilbury’s Rock 'n' Kohl Liner is my favorite because it’s intensely black like a kajal, but it lasts.”
“MAC’s Fluidline Gel Liner in Black Track is my go-to gel liner, because it’s creamy and won’t skip when you drag it along the lash line, but it also won’t move when it dries. I also find that it's blacker than most gel liners.”
Do you have any of these eyeliners in your makeup bag?
