As beauty editors, we get bombarded with a ton of new products every day (we know—tough life). “Reviewed” is a new series where we report on some of the best products we’ve tried. Whether it’s a drugstore lipstick that lasted all day or a hand cream that saved us this winter, you’ll find all of our favorites in this column. Enjoy!

Beauty editors come across thousands of products on the job, but every now and then, one leaves an impact not just because of its effectiveness but because of its user experience. The latest to do just that is Joico's new Hair Shake ($18), a liquid-to-powder finishing texturizer that gives hair insane touchable volume. Brand representatives from Joico came to our company Clique Inc.'s offices to demo the product, and ever since they came, we've all been shaking our bottles every chance we get. The other night, I was heading out with two work friends, and one of them pulled out Hair Shake from her bag for a pre-dinner limp-lock boost. I was overjoyed that she'd had the great sense to bring it along, because before I knew it, all three of us were shaking and spraying it through our strands like addicts. Not only is it super-fun to shake, spray, and tousle your strands with, it smells obsessively good, and gives flat hair that sexy, lifted look. It's exactly what you want to use before a night out. I have naturally thick hair, but it adds amazing volume at the roots (which I like) and creates a more imperfect, slept-in, bedhead look. You do have to worry about buildup if you over-spray (which can be tempting), and unlike a dry shampoo, which repels oil, texturizers contain oil so your blowout may not last as long after using this, but it's the perfect product for fuller, sexier-looking volume when you're about to see your date, step into a photo booth, or hit the town with your girls.

Have you tried Joico's Hair Shake yet? What's your favorite texturizer? Tell me below!
