Here's How Jenna Dewan Tatum Prepped Her Skin for the Golden Globes

As chaotic, beautiful, intense, and glamorous as any red carpet scene may be, the hours leading up to a star's first walk in front of the cameras are far more turbulent. Looking like a million bucks for an award show isn't as simple showing up to get your hair and makeup done—there's a science to the whole process.

For Jenna Dewan Tatum, the science behind her radiant complexion at last night's 73rd annual Golden Globes included a double facial by celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas. First up in the process? Vargas's signature Triple Crown Facial, during which a mild electric current is used to drain puffiness, tone muscle, tighten skin, and reshape the face (sounds a bit scary, huh?). Regardless of how intimidating the treatment may sound, the results are undeniable: a more defined jawline and cheekbones and an all over, more youthful glow.

Next up: JDT received Vargas's Forever Facial. Get a load of this: In this "radio frequency facial," Vargas starts off with her Vitamin C Face Wash ($65) before applying ultrasound gel to the face for "conducting" purposes. She then divides the face into four sections (the orbital bone, jaw/cheek, chin/mouth/upper lip, and the neck area), gliding an ultrasound wand across each. This helps trigger collagen production, instantly firming the skin. Then, Vargas again washes the face with her Vitamin C Face Wash and finishes off with a "vitamin-spiked oxygen treatment." Phew! No wonder Jenna looks like she defies the aging process. This whole treatment takes a whopping two and half hours, but we'd say it's well worth the time and effort.
