New Year, new you… and a bevy of new beauty products to add to your arsenal. This month, we’re lusting over new launches from Tom Ford, Tatcha, NARS, and more—we’re fanning ourselves in anticipation. Oh, and Hello Kitty fans will want to scroll directly to the fifth slide (you’re welcome). Thank you, grandma, for the Christmas cash. It will be put to good use.
Keep scrolling for 13 products you’re going to want to snatch up this January!
Tom Ford Cleansing Oil ($80)
Excuse us while we throw our wallets to Tom Ford and scream “TAKE OUR MONEY!” yet again. This time, it happens to be in reaction to the brand’s latest skincare launch: a sumptuous cleansing oil made with jasmine flower oil, ginseng root, and other botanical extracts. Apply it to dry skin, then add a small amount of warm water and massage in (we recommend breathing in the heavenly scent while doing so). Rinse off for softly cleansed, hydrated skin.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water ($8)
We’re not shy about our love for micellar water, and Garnier’s new version is a welcome addition to the ever-expanding category. Sweep it across your face to gently cleanse, as well as remove any makeup residue. Unlike traditional cleansers, micellar water never leaves your skin feeling tight or dry—just clean and balanced. The under-$10 price tag doesn’t hurt, either.
Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Overnight Serum ($88)
Are you making the most out of your beauty sleep? Dr. Gross’s new serum will ensure it. Made with the skincare trifecta of retinol, ferulic acid (every beauty editor’s favorite ingredient), and niacinamide, the serum repairs our skin while you sleep by working in sync with your skin’s natural circadian rhythm. It may sound complicated, but we’ll make it simple: apply it before sleeping and wake up with better skin.
OPI Hello Kitty ( $10 )
Who would’ve guessed OPI’s latest muse would a cat? But not just any cat: the instantly recognizable, universally regarded as adorable Hello Kitty, of course. The new 12-piece collection features silvery metallics, purple, yellow, blue, black, and lots and lots of pink (obviously). Meow!
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30 ($44)
With the weightlessness of BB cream and soft-matte finish of your favorite foundation, Nars’s new launch is a game-changer for your skin. The oil-free formula delivers a no-makeup finish while simultaneously blurring lines and controlling shine. Cakiness—we’re through with you.
This product launches January 15 at Nars boutiques and NarsCossmetics.com, and February 1 at Sephora, department stores, and specialty stores.
Tatcha Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate ($110)
All you have to do is touch this gel-mask hybrid to see how it’s different. With a formula that melts into your skin and bounces back in the jar, the ultra-concentrated blend of Okinawa Red Algae and botanical extracts work to improve skin clarity, texture, and tone while you sleep.
Fans of the UK brand’s cult Glow Tonic ($29) (hear, hear!) are going to flip over the launch of the brand’s Skin Treats stateside. Things we can’t wait to try: the Glow Peel Pads ($22), which contain 20% glycolic acid to brighten your skin over time, the nourishing Rose Oil Blend ($24), and Hydrating Milky Serum ($24), which we want to use for the name alone.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Set ($95)
The holidays might be over, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to indulge in a fragrant gift… for yourself. Consisting of 10 eau de parfum fragrances ranging from fresh and floral to smoky and musky, Derek Lam 10 Crosby’s perfume set is the stylish addition your vanity needs. Feel free to spritz with abandon.
Kate Somerville EradiKate To-Go Acne Treatment ($40)
Allow us to introduce you to the product you’re never going to travel without. Kate Somerville, skincare genius, has launched her much-loved EradiKate treatment in swab form, which means you’re just one snap away from bidding your annoying breakout adieu. The individually-wrapped swabs feature the formula’s signature blend of 10% sulfur and alpha hydroxyl acids to make acne disappear with just a quick dab. Genius.
Repeat after us: Ceramides are your friends. Or rather, your skin’s friends. Using products with ceramides will help replenish your skin’s moisture barrier and keep dryness at bay—which is why Elizabeth Arden’s Overnight Firming Mask will soon be your before-bed bestie. Made with ceramides, repairing alfafa extract, amino acids, and hyaluronic acid, this silky mask adds moisture and seals it in to help you wake up radiant.
