If there's one product you'll always find on a beauty editor's desk, it's face mist—and don't be surprised if there's more than a couple in rotation. A few spritzes of the cooling concoction is like a tall drink of water for the skin and makes for a fantastic midday refresher. Tanning expert James Read took note of the trend and created a unique product on the beauty-editor staple for his namesake line. "I came up with the idea for the H2O Tan Mist after my trips to New York to meet with beauty editors at their offices. Everyone had a rosewater mist sitting on their desk! It got me thinking that no one had ever done a tanning rosewater mist before, so I wanted to make the first," he tells us.

The formula took two years to create, and it not only cools and hydrates the skin like a traditional face mist, it also provides a sheen of self-tanner. Made with 95% organic rose water, it also boasts other nourishing ingredients like aloe vera and chamomile extract, and application is totally foolproof. "It's great for people who are on the go or any self-tan beginners. It can be applied under or over makeup, doesn't transfer onto clothes, and doesn't highlight pigmentation," explains Read. Actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who Read has worked with for over 10 years, swears by the mist and even has a brilliant hack for getting the most cooling effect. "Rosie loves the tan mist because it's quick and easy. She told me she keeps in the fridge!" he says. We're going to go ahead and borrow this genius tip because really, what more could we ask for?
