3 Gym Memberships That Will Score You Free Beauty Products

Mary Peffer

Gym memberships can cost a pretty penny, but since they are a great way to stay on track with our personal fitness goals, we try to justify that cost. (For example, when the monthly fee comes with certain amenities, like free luxury beauty products.) After a little digging (and a lot of calls), we were surprised to discover that only a handful of gyms partner with top-shelf beauty brands to offer free toiletries to their members. And they weren’t the ones we expected at all (i.e. you won’t find SoulCycle on this list). Keep scrolling to see three gyms that extend a worthwhile beauty hookup.

Equinox
According to a rep at their West Village outpost (THE best location, in case you were wondering), all Equinox facilities offer complimentary Kiehl’s products for members to use. Free Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo ($50) and matching conditioner ($50) is your wallet’s dream come true.

Barry’s Bootcamp
We chatted with a friendly man at the Hollywood location who confirmed Malin + Goetz candles, like our favorite Vetiver scent ($52), and collection of soaps are on hand, and they are, as his grandfather puts it, “the best products ever.”

Swerve
The geographic index of where you can take a spin class is expanding like crazy. But it’s an independent studio in the West Village that goes the extra mile (we assume on its own dime). L’Occitane products, including larger versions of the company's Shea Butter Hand Cream ($12), are there to set the mood and pamper you before and after instructors kick your butt in class.

Honorable mentions go to Exhale Spa and The Peninsula Hotel Fitness Centre. Both supply their proprietary brand of products vetted by in-house spa experts. We’re also dying to check out ModelFit in New York, which has been rumored to gift free workout-related beauty swag.
