I’ve been a Glossier fan since I first sprayed my skin with their Soothing Face Mist ($18). And I’ve been waiting with baited breath to see what else they had up their sleeves. Then came the Coconut Balm Dotcom ($12). Check plus for that. Next, my favorite mask duo to date, Boy Brow ($16), and the Milk Jelly Cleanser ($18). Another success. But it wasn’t until I received the Phase 2 products that it was clear that Glossier was about to be a real force to be reckoned with—for both skincare and makeup.

Well-curated and pared down, the selection of makeup in the Phase 2 set is just the essentials: four lipstick shades, concealer, and tinted brow gel. Before, the vibe was “skincare as makeup.” But now that the brand has launched actual makeup, Glossier’s new mantra is “staples that live with you—not on you.” The look is still bare and casual, they’ve just now provided the next step in your morning routine.

Glossier Stretch Concealer ($18)

It’s made with beeswax, avocado, and jojoba oils—and the result is a formula that’s buildable, doesn’t cake (but rather moves with your expression), and gives off Glossier’s signature dewy glow. The concealers come in five shades—each created to easily match the Perfecting Skin Tint ($26) and disappear into your face. It’s clear this makeup set was created with all of us in mind, with the idea that makeup is supposed to make things easier rather than more complicated. I give it two thumbs up.

Described as a “casual, soft, popsicle-stain flush,” this lipstick gives the look and finish of a stain but glides on like a balm. Hell yes. Generation G comes in four shades: two that enhance your natural tone (a warm, peachy nude and a light pink blush) and two bolder options (a vivid raspberry and a grape stain) to appeal to every mood you may have. And the formula is just so buttery. Yet matte! It’s truly a novel product, one that is just as easy breezy to apply and maintain as Glossier’s Phase 1 goodies.
