Giorgio Armani Just Launched Another Lust-Worthy Foundation

There has been a ton of buzz around the velvety texture and performance of Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Fusion Makeup ($64) since its launch in 2012.

A quick scan of Sephora customer reviews reveals an overall 4.4 star-rating, with one customer writing, “This is the best foundation I have ever used. I can’t even describe the way it feels -like nothing.” And another begins with the sentence, “This is my super hero!”

Long story short, most rave above and beyond what any paid ambassador might boast. So we were pretty surprised to hear that Giorgio Armani was releasing a new version of its foundation. How could it be any different? Or any better?

Turns out Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow ($64) has a lot in common with the original. They are both lightweight everyday foundations, and they both aim to create a natural, even appearance on the skin. Both feel soft and consist of an elixir of nourishing oils (no water).

But while Maestro Fusion Makeup creates a matte complexion, Maestro Glow, as the name suggests, creates a sheer glow. Think dewy summer skin. We’re picturing Jennifer Lopez. Another notable callout is that Maestro Glow amps up the SPF to 30 from Fusion’s 15, a change that will hopefully help protect skin more in the long run.
