“This look is clean, modern, and androgynous,” Avon global celebrity makeup artist Lauren Andersen says. She applied Hourglass’ No. 28 Primer Serum ($65) to Goodwin’s skin then smoothed on Armani’s Luminous Silk Foundation ($60) with a foundation brush.

For a little extra coverage Andersen dabbed Cle De Peau’s Concealer ($70) under Goodwin’s eyes, then used a damp sponge to buff the concealer and foundation into the skin. “This creates a light finish,” she says.

An androgynous look calls for neutral colors, so Andersen applied Laura Mercier’s Second Skin Cheek Color ($24) in Fresh Ginger to the apples of Goodwin’s cheeks. A dusting of Cle De Peau’s Translucent Loose Powder ($75) set the skin.

  • Ginnifer Goodwin Eyebrows

Andersen used an angled brush to apply Votre Vu’s Arch De Triumphe Brow Definer ($24) to Goodwin’s brows—the formula is a mix of pigment and wax for one-step color and hold.

“Blend eye shadow onto the top lid, around the eyes, and under the bottom lash line,” Andersen says. She used Nars’ Duo Cream Eyeshadow ($34) in Madagascar.

Andersen applied Ardell’s DuraLash Individuals ($4) to give Goodwin’s lashes extra length, then brushed on Avon’s Mega Effects Mascara ($10) in Black.

Goodwin’s neutral pout came from Avon’s Totally Kissable Lip Stick ($8) in Natural Glow under a coat of Beauty Is Life’s Lipgloss ($25) in Liga.

  • Ginnifer Goodwin Wrap Dry Hair

Hairstylist Ian James skipped product on Goodwin’s damp locks, opting for a technique called wrap drying to deliver smoothness instead. He pulled large sections of the actress’ hair across the top of her head, drying in the opposite direction the hair falls, and brushing against her scalp with Mason Pearson’s Handy Mixture Nylon and Boar Bristle Brush ($120) for a smooth finish. “Move quickly from section to section drying each part little by little,” James says. “Brush forward to back, side to side.” Repeat until all sections are fully dry. (You can try the Medium Oval Cushion Boar and Nylon Brush ($11) by Bass for a similar result.)

James worked a dab of Mop’s Defining Cream ($19) through each section of Goodwin’s dry locks, then brushed her hair into place. “This is my favorite product,” James says. “It gives a ton of shine without being greasy.”

The final touch is James’ go-to hairspray: Paul Mitchell’s Super Clean Finishing Spray ($19).
