Get The Look: AnnaSophia Robb
Have a summer wedding to attend? Follow the The Way, Way Back actress’ lead and try a soft smoky eye and braided updo.
For a soft smoky eye Lee reached for Kevyn Aucoin’s The Essentials Eyeshadow Palette ($55) in #6, slowly building the color on Robb’s eyes. She layered the purple and green hues on the actress’ lid, smudged the black color into her top lash line, and applied the white shade to the inner corners of her eyes for brightness. Lee set the shadow with Chanel’s Loose Powder ($52) before lining Robb’s waterline with Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Liner ($23) in Mat Black.
Lee isn’t sure what shade of Nars’ Satin Lip Pencil ($25) she used on Robb--the actress liked it so much Lee sent her home with it!--but we’d bet it was Rikugien. She applied the rosy pink pencil directly to Robb’s pout, followed by a touch of Colorescience’s Sunforgettable Lip Shine ($25) in Whisper.
Hairstylist John D. prepped Robb’s towel-dried hair with Tresemme’s 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion ($5), rough-dried her locks, and made a deep side part. “Section the hair into two parts: a front section going from the side part, over the crown and to the right ear, and a back section going from just behind the other ear to the nape of the neck,” John D. says.
John D. began French braiding the front section of Robb’s hair, starting at her part and ending behind her right ear. He secured the first braid with an elastic, leaving the length out. He braided the second section the same way, adding the hair from the actress’ crown into the braid as he went. When he reached the base of the first braid he incorporated the length into the second braid and hid the end of the braid by pinning it into the base of the second braid.
Once Robb’s braids were secure, John D. went through with his fingers and loosened them throughout to create a relaxed feeling. He added a few more pins for hold and set with a heavy dose of Tresemme’s Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray ($5).
