  • Fitness Blender

There’s a reason “eight-minutes” is the magic number when it comes to workouts. (The original 8 Minute Abs video has been selling for almost 20 years.) Eight minutes is just enough time to build muscle without wearing you out, which means you’re more likely to stick to it. Fitness Blender’s Fast Abs is just that: a short core workout for a flat, defined stomach.

  • Fit Sugar
    2 of 10

Ever wonder how Victoria’s Secret models get into shape? Heidi Klum’s trainer, Andrea Orbeck, designed this 10-minute workout to quickly tone your legs, glutes, and abs. It’s not easy, but Orbeck’s encouragement—and the running clock in the top left corner—makes it fly by.

  • Modern Mom
    3 of 10

Brooke Burke’s lifestyle channel, Modern Mom, is geared toward the parental set, but you don’t have to have kids to try her slimming videos. Our favorite is the Exercise To Trim Your Hips video. Burke and her trainer, Autumn Calabrese, walk you through a variety of leg lifts that look easy, but deliver a serious burn. Follow Burke’s lead and do it twice a week.

  • Be Fit
    4 of 10

There’s more to Lionsgate than Mad Men and Orange is the New Black: their YouTube fitness channel, BeFit, has tons of great workout videos. If you really want to commit to a plan, turn on Jillian Michaels’ 6 Week Six-Pack Abs Workout three times a week. It’s a 30-minute core program that will deliver results in about two months.

  • Hilaria Baldwin
    5 of 10

Love yoga? This fast-paced class has a dynamic flow that will leave you feeling refreshed. Hilaria Baldwin (yes, she’s married to Alec) has a variety of different videos set against beautiful outdoor settings. Start with her 20 Minute Yoga Class with Hilaria Baldwin: Vinyasa Ashtanga, it’s a great intro class for beginners and experts alike.

  • Tone It Up
    6 of 10

Do we even have to ask if you’d like to lift your butt and tone your thighs? Check out Tone It Up’s Bikini Series Thighs Workout video, a mash up of lunges, lifts and squats to do just that. (A workout ball isn’t required, but it will help. Try The Fitball Mini Ball.)

  • Blogilates
    7 of 10

Blogilates’ Muffintop Massacre video may have a quirky name, but don’t underestimate its legitimacy. The mix of stretching, leg lifts, and core work targets love handles in less than 20 minutes.

  • Bex Life
    8 of 10

Trainer and yoga instructor Rebekah Borucki may have four kids, raise chickens, and garden in her free time, but she looks like a supermodel. Which is probably why her channel, BexLife, has over 15 million views. You won’t regret waking up 15 minutes early in the morning to turn on her Fast Morning Bedroom Workout.

  • XHIT
    9 of 10

YouTube isn’t short of videos promising a Victoria’s Secret or Sports Illustrated body, but XHIT’s Bikini Body Workout may just get you there. Expect a challenging workout filled with roundhouse kicks, deep squats, shadowboxing, pushups, and more! You’ll need light weights, a stability ball, and a towel to wipe your sweaty forehead.

If you’re looking for an arm workout, watch Sarah Fit’s Slim ‘n Sculpted Arm Workout for Women: 10 Minute Trainer. You’ll need weights—start with four-pound ones like Fitness Gear’s 4 lb. Neoprene Dumbells ($7)—and 10 minutes. You’ll work your shoulders and arms with a series of pushups, arm lifts, and more.

You can do almost anything online—shop, date, bank—so the popularity of digital fitness should come as no surprise: currently, there are over 10 million fitness videos on YouTube alone. Filling the space that workout DVDs and VHS tapes once occupied, digital fitness videos are a convenient and budget-friendly way to sweat at home. In most cases there’s nothing to buy—except an occasional yoga mat or hand weights—but the best part is that you can beam your video of choice onto your TV directly from your iPhone or laptop. You’ll find ten of the best videos to try, from eight-minute abs to thigh-trimming lunges, in our slideshow.
