An Easy Foot Scrub Recipe for Summer-Ready Soles
It’s officially summer and we’ve ditched our winter boots for a cute pair of strappy sandals. The summer heat has us ready to run around barefoot and show off our pedicures—however, our feet don’t seem to be quite as ready as we are. To get our soles super-soft and buff off all of those layers of dead skin (gross, but true), natural beauty expert Indie Lee has the answer: a simple DIY foot scrub, natch.
Indie Lee’s Summer Foot Scrub
½ cup Pacific sea salt
½ cup Dead Sea salt
¼ cup apricot kernel oil
12 drops tea tree essential oil
3 drops eucalyptus oil
3 drops peppermint essential oil
- Mix the Pacific and Dead sea salt together in a 16oz. container.
- Add the apricot kernel oil, tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint essential oil into the salt mixture and stir with a wooden stick.
- Scoop out a small portion and apply the scrub onto damp feet.
- Massage the scrub in circular motions, focusing on rough areas like your heels and any calluses.
- Rinse well and dry off.
Note: The scrub may work best when applied to damp feet that have been soaking in warm water.
