Rule of thumb: Beauty trends are never officially out until the vast and colorful world of Korean Beauty declares it so. And with this adage in mind, it looks as though head-turning nail art won't be going anywhere in 2017. While last year saw the viral rise of the mesmerizing "shattered glass" manicure, the latest take is definitely an aesthetic extension of that, with a slight twist.

The multidimensional look is nothing less than hypnotic. And while we're still awaiting a full tutorial, we can guess that getting this look is a fairly similar process to that of the glass nail, which involves gluing on tiny triangles of cellophane paper.
While we wait for that step-by-step, however, it's worth noting that there are a few great lacquers that give that holographic effect. Try ILNP Mega Ultra Holographic Nail Polish ($10) for starters.
Don't have the nails you want? Here are four reasons that might be the case.
