"Star Wars" Actress Daisy Ridley Just Gave Us ALL the Hair Inspiration
We think it’s safe to say Daisy Ridley, star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been blowing up the red carpet on her press tour for the film’s opening. In true Star Wars fashion, it’s Daisy’s glamorous range of hair choices that have her fans, us included, swooning hard. Luckily, we connected with celebrity hairstylist Robert Vetica, who created some of the red carpet hairstyles we love so much on Daisy. Keep scrolling to see all our favorites and Vetica’s inspiration behind the most complicated two.
According to Vetica, “Inspiration for the fresh 'Charlie Girl' hair with a hint of '70s disco era, would've originally been achieved with rollers. But on Daisy, I used a curling iron, because I feel it allows the look to appear more modern, a little bit more soft."
Spritz a little holding spray like Leonor Greyl Stucture Naturelle Styling Spray ($42).
Vetica took a "fresh spin on the 1920s Chanel flapper” for inspiration. To match the carefree, liberated spirit of the flapper, he opted for a youthful hairstyle that feels classic to the Star Wars franchise.
Apply a dab of oil like Leonor Greyl L’Huile de Leonor Greyl ($60) to smooth out the hair and give it just a bit of shine.
While the slicked-back bun Ridley donned at the European premiere is less complicated than a few others we've seen, it certainly shows her timeless range. We love the added touch of a playful wing peaking out at the bun's center.
Use a little fragrance to add allure to your look, like Balmain Paris Hair Couture Silk Hair Perfume ($42).
