The 6 Most Jaw-Dropping Beauty Looks at Paris Couture Week
It's hard to believe the chaos of fashion month is already upon us, but in the meantime, Haute Couture week makes for an excellent precursor—and an opulent one at that. True to custom, the fashion crowd descended upon Paris this week to watch models take the runway in frothy, extravagant gowns for Chanel, Christian Dior, Schiaparelli, and more. Naturally, many of them boasted elaborate beauty getups to match.
Even among the relatively small crop of presentations, we did note a few common trends—namely that metallics and glitter, once reserved for the music festival circuit, have been getting quite the upscale treatment lately. But don't just take our word for it: Peruse the best beauty looks of Haute Couture Fashion Week below.
Meanwhile at Elie Saab, makeup artists opted for a more traditional approach to winged liner—although the dark blue hue gives it a subtle edge. (To channel this look, try Lorac's Front of the Line Pro Liquid Liner in Navy, $23.)
Iffy about metallics? Consider this subtle yet dreamy take, which really only requires one product: Try swiping a cream-based eye shadow across your lids before dabbing the top of your Cupid's bow for good measure. (Maybelline's Eye Studio Color Tattoo in Silver Strike, $5, is a great option.)
