ColourPop Announced Its First Brand Collab, and Everything's Under $22

Kaitlyn McLintock

We recently found out that Lime Crime, one of our favorite vegan and cruelty-free brands, is launching Polly Pocket–inspired makeup palettes. That news was like a time warp that connected our past with our present (specifically our past love for '90s toys with our present love for makeup). We thought that was the last bout of nostalgia we would feel for some time… at least when it came to our makeup collection. But boy, were we wrong.

Now, ColourPop, the brand known for its megawatt highlighters and silky pressed-powder eye shadows, is collaborating with none other than Hasbro's My Little Pony to create a sparkly, colorful, and super-nostalgic makeup collection—and we mean collection. It includes an eye shadow palette, two highlighters, and lip products, among other things. Keep scrolling to see the new ColourPop x My Little Pony collection.

As noted, the collection is quite extensive. The eye shadow palette, which will retail for $16, includes a variety of matte and shimmer shadows ranging from peach and pink to pastel blue and bright purple. In other words, it's kind of like the adult version of those colored pencil kits we used to get as kids—fun and creativity-sparking.

Then, there are two pressed highlighters (one lavender and one peachy gold), six lip products (three ultra-matte and three ultra-glossy finishes), three new SuperShock Shadows ($5), a makeup brush kit, and a makeup bag. Each product was inspired by vintage My Little Pony merchandise, which is why the titles of the various shades are so cutesy: Think names like Flutterbye, Starshine, Lemon Drop, and Cherries Jubilee.

If this news makes you feel like a kid in a candy store, then be prepared to purchase on October 5, which is when the entire collection launches on ColourPop's website. It just so happens that the launch coincides with the release of the My Little Pony: The Movie, in theaters on October 6.
