One of the many reasons we love Chrissy Teigen is how she never holds back from speaking her mind. Last night at the Sports Illustrated Swim 2017 launch party, the model shared her thoughts on diversity in the fashion and entertainment industries while speaking with E! News.

"I want it to be a normal thing to be able to see Asian models, and I think Asian models are really underrepresented in the industry, especially on the runways or in magazines," noted Teigen, who is of Thai, German, and Norwegian descent. While she says she's personally not offended by cultural appropriation of any sort because she feels like it does pay homage, "at the same time there are a lot of beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Asian women that could do the same thing."

Teigen also shared her thoughts on the same problem existing in the entertainment industry, where characters played by Asians are small parts or token rolls, saying "I think it's really important to start embracing people… seeing them in roles that are not necessarily 'That Asian Girl' or 'That Asian Boy.'"
