Get the Look: Blake Lively’s Fresh Take on Old Hollywood Glamour

Deven Hopp

If there’s one thing Blake Lively does well, it’s glamour. At the premiere of her new movie, Age of Adaline, the actress walked the red carpet looking every bit the classic beauty we know and love. “It was such a classic red carpet look–something you might see in Cannes,” makeup artist Elaine Offers for L’Oréal Paris says. “We kept the makeup timeless.” To recreate the look you’ll need matte skin, defined eyes, and little pop of color on the lips.

Offers prepped the skin with a complexion-perfecting primer before applying L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation ($15) all over. She topped the cheekbones and corners of the eyes with a liquid illuminator for added radiance. Next, Offers defined the crease and outer corners of the eyes with a dark taupe brown shadow. Then, she applied L’Oréal Paris Smokissime Eyeliner ($9) in Black close to the lashline to for added definition. And for just a touch of twinkle, Offers lined the waterline with Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in Highlighter ($9). Groomed brows and a few coats of black voluminizing mascara finished off the eyes. For the lips, Offers used a coral lip liner and topped it with L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Balm Pop ($8) in Bold Blush. The end goal was pretty and shapely, but overly bold. Nailed it.
