3 Top Beauty Vloggers Share Their Travel Must-Haves
Beauty vloggers know how to travel—after all, they’re constantly jetting around for events, conferences, and workshops (tough life, we know). Considering how vast their makeup, skincare, and hair collections must be, we were curious to see which products made the cut while they’re on the go. Which moisturizer is their toiletry-bag staple? Which mascara always withstands the summer heat? With that in mind, we caught up with three top beauty vloggers—Dulce Candy, Amanda Steele of MakeupbyMandy24, and Claire Marshall of Hey Claire—and asked them to share their travel essentials. (Speaking of which, you can also see all of these beauty gurus this weekend at BeautyCon in L.A.—details here.)

Shop The Look:
The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydration Mist ($17): “I love misting my face with The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Hydration Mist because it helps replenish my skin with moisture and vitamins, making my face look supple, healthy, and hydrated.”
Rohto cool Redness Relief Eyedrops ($7): “These help my eyes mid-flight to feel moist and alert. They’re also great after a flight because they brighten up your eyes by reducing the redness.”
iPad ($600): “My iPad is my savior during long flights. I always update it with books, music, and movies to keep me entertained.”
Scarf: ($35) “I always travel with a scarf because they’re great for layering and keeping me warm. Sometimes airplanes don’t provide a blanket if it’s a short flight, so I like to bring one that doubles as that.”
Thick Socks: ($6) “This is also a travel must-have for me, because they keep my feet warm during the trip.”
Shop The Look:
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner ($20): “This is an absolute MUST! I do a signature winged eye look every day, and using a great eyeliner to create that look is key. This specific one has a nice felt tip, which makes applying the eyeliner very easy. I have also noticed with some other eyeliners that over time the black pigment starts to fade, and Stila’s doesn’t.”
Smith’s Rosebud Salve in a Tube ($6): “This is one of my favorite lip balms because I found that it moisturizes my lips the best. I love the Rosebud product in a tube, as I am not a fan of continuously sticking my finger in the pot. I’d rather directly apply the product to my lips.”
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo ($3): “This is really inexpensive, you get a lot of product (you get your money’s worth!), and it doesn’t leave my hair with white stuff.”
NuMe Classic Wand ($139): “For me, curling wants in general work best because I have short hair. I find that it is easier to maneuver around my head!
I love NuMe because my curls last for DAYS! It gives me the right amount of wave—I love a good wavy, messy look!”
Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer ($7): “Love this concealer! It’s really easy to apply, super creamy, and you get so much product that it will last you for a long time. I’m sure you heard this many times, but I love using the inverted triangle method as it gives me a really great highlight under my eyes.”
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($30): “I LOVE the smell of this! It can’t get better than chocolate. I also love that there is no shimmer and it is matte, as I feel you get the best contour that way. I also like to use a fan brush for this as well, as it gives me the best contour.”
Essie’s Nail Polish ($9) in Licorice: “I always carry black nail polish with me at all times for two reasons: 1) I love black! 2) If I decided to paint my nails another color and it was chipping, I paint it over in black, and it always covers it up. :)”
Shop The Look:
Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($2): “Long hours in flight can really take a toll on your skin, and if you’re wearing makeup, it can add to the congestion. I’m not one to bring my whole cleansing routine into an airplane toilet, so these are great to get rid of your makeup without leaving your skin feeling stripped. They’re not a liquid, so TSA should stay off your case, and they're available in the travel section of the drugstore, so they won’t add bulk to your carry-on!”
Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask ($50): “I have oily, acne-prone skin, and whenever I fly, my skin is left feeling dull and dehydrated. This mask not only draws moisture to intensely hydrate skin, but it also has anti-bacterial properties, which help treat any problem areas. I love applying this at the end of a travel day to wind down, and if you’re one to wear masks in flight, this isn’t doesn’t have a color that could draw strange looks—haha.”
Wen by Chaz Dean Six Thirteen Travel Packettes ($58): “I’ve been using Wen cleansing conditioners for years and these Six Thirteen Travel Packettes are great for keeping my hair looking healthy and full of body without having to distribute product into travel bottles. Not only does it keep my hair conditioned, it smells amazing!”
Cozzette Vessel ($14): “Makeup brushes can be a pain to travel with, and I’ve tried various options, but my favorite has to be the Cozette Vessels. You can really store anything in them, from pencils to Q-tips, but I love them for my makeup brushes because it keeps them intact as well as serves as an upright holder when I get to my destination.”
Valera Professional Swiss Nano 9200 SuperionicT ($209): “My hairstylist gifted me this hair-dryer, and I seriously don’t leave home without it. It's compact and powerful (I’m not a professional hairstylist, but I’m sure the fact that it has ionic conditioning and tourmaline technology means something), which helps me achieve a shiny blowout quickly without arm fatigue. Trust me—it will make any hotel hair-dryer look like garbage.
