Vampires and zombies might be the supernatural creatures du jour, but witches are a true classic. There’s no shortage of spellbinding films in which to choose wiccan inspiration, but we’ve called upon Bonnie, Sarah, Rochelle, and Nancy from the 1996 flick The Craft. Fitting in with their high school coven required more than the power to invoke Manon, it called for kohl-rimmed eyes, blood red lips, and frantic hair. Find out how to get the look above; after all, you’ll need to look the part to practice their kind of dark magic.

When Sarah (Robin Tunney) arrived for her first day of school she already had pale skin and natural powers, sealing the coven with Nancy (Fairuza Balk), Bonnie (Neve Campbell), and Rochelle (Rachel True). We can’t help you with the powers, but you can get the group’s milky white skin with daily SPF and Make Up For Ever’s Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation ($36) in Alabaster White. Skip under-eye concealer—dark circles are encouraged.

The students at St. Bernard are very cruel—especially Chris and Laura—so start practicing your evil gaze. You won’t need magic to master this one, just a soft kohl eyeliner. Apply Rimmel’s Special Eyes Precision Eye Liner Pencil ($4) in Black Magic on your waterline, close your eyes tightly to smudge the color, then line the outside of your eyes. Don’t wash it off for days.

You might not want to copy everything Nancy does—or you’ll be corrupted by your power, too—but we do recommend trying her deep, matte lip color. Line and fill in your pout with M.A.C’s Lip Pencil ($15) in Currant then add a few coats of Kat Von D’s Painted Love Lipstick ($19) in Homegirl. You won’t need a spell to make it last, just dust on a little translucent powder between coats.

If you don’t have a wiccan bookstore nearby—and a friendly elder witch for advice—you’ll want to pick up Jo Malone’s Wild Fig and Cassis Candle ($65). The earthy scent will help you develop your powers and gives the perfect ambiance when playing light as a feather, stiff as a board.

Once you harness your supernatural strength you’ll be able to change your hair from red to blonde instantly, just like Sarah. Until then, try John Frieda’s Luminous Colour Glaze ($10). The brunette will deliver a dark jolt a la Bonnie, or try the Red to cop Sarah’s locks. Call upon Manon for a gust of wind instead of using your blow dryer.

You’ll quickly learn that things can spiral out of control when you hang with these girls, so take a step back and try to relax at home. Light a few candles—at this point you can probably ignite them without the help of matches—then add a few drops of Caudalie’s Divine Oil ($49) to your bathwater. Whatever you do try to relax…it’s only magic.
