  • La Prairie Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection a Porter ($150)
    1 of 10

For starters, who doesn’t want to pull a mirrored compact out of their handbag? But La Prairie’s new Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection a Porter ($150) isn’t only great because of its looks. The pillowy soft eye cream really does de-puff and fill in fine lines for an immediately brightening effect and the lip balm is moisturizing without being too shiny.

  • Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen ($55) in Deeper
    2 of 10

Another two-in-one, Tom Ford’s Eye Defining Pen ($55) in Deeper features a thin brush on one end and a teeny tiny, almost sharp it’s so pointed, felt tip marker on the other. “If you can’t draw the perfect cat eye with this, you might as well give up,” says Editorial Director Britt Aboutaleb.

  • Keratin Complex Volumizing Dry Shampoo Lift Powder ($35)
    3 of 10

“I consider myself a dry shampoo expert,” Editor Lexy Lebsack says. “And I expect a lot from new formulas.” It must deliver volume and thickness while soaking up oil—all in non-clogging packaging. Keratin Complex’s Volumizing Dry Shampoo Lift Powder ($35) does all of this and more: “The tinted formula gently blends away my light brown roots between color appointments!”

  • Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture ($25) in No.40 Sepia 7E
    4 of 10

Fall’s the only time Aboutaleb’s tempted to experiment with nail polish. “I stick to classic reds year round, but come September I crave a navy blue or eggplant purple,” she says. Yves Saint Laurent’s La Laque Couture ($25) in No.40 Sepia 7E is a decadently rich shade of the latter.

  • Giorgio Armani Ambre Soie ($275)
    5 of 10

“I admit that I fall in love with a new scent every season. For fall, I’m stowing my Balenciaga Florabotanica for the warm and slightly-spicy Ambre Soie ($275) from Armani,” Lebsack says. “It’s not very affordable, but what can I say, the heart wants what it wants.”

  • Kevyn Aucoin The Essentials Mascara ($32)
    6 of 10

Kevyn Aucoin’s mascara is an office favorite for two reasons: it works brilliantly and it comes off with just a splash of warm water (yet, it doesn’t budge during the day). The newest, The Essentials ($32), features a voluptuous brush that deposits plenty of pigment without a single clump.

  • Essie Nail Polish ($8) in Vested Interest and For The Twill of It
    7 of 10

Fall isn’t short of great new polish shades, but Essie's Nail Polish ($8) in For The Twill of It and Vested Interest stuck out to Lebsack. “It’s hard to find a metallic polish that has a warm undertone and this green is just great in every way.”

  • Leonor Greyl Huile de Palme ($52)
    8 of 10

“I’m cheating a bit because this isn’t new, but it’s still the best,” says Aboutaleb. Leonor Greyl’s Huile de Palme ($52) turns deep-fried, over-salted summer hair soft again.

  • Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylos ($30)
    9 of 10

“I prefer a neutral lip—always have—so after seasons of bold colors being front and center it’s nice to see brands coming out with new ranges of beige and brown tones,” Lebsack says. “I wear shade six from Hourglass' new Femme Nude Lip Stylos ($30), which is totally opaque with a slight brown undertone, aka, my ‘90s-inspired dream shade.”

  • Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23)

“It might have a provocative name, but Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara ($23) is more than just clever marketing,” Lebsack says. “The brush delivers an insane amount of product that makes lashes thick, full, and incredibly dark in just one swipe. Seriously, two coats is too much.”
