Sometimes, celebrity beauty in a given week is a diverse and varied patchwork of trends. Other times, it seems everyone got the same memo. This week was of the latter category, with smoky metallic eye makeup and extra-lush lashes in heavy rotation on stars everywhere. Click through the gallery below to see how different celebs interpreted pulled off the look!
For the While We're Young movie premier in New York City, hair stylist Renato Campora gave Amanda Seyfried sophisticated and structured double French braids with a twist (literally) at the end. Parting hair in the center and forming two sections, Campora used Oribe Rough Luxury Molding Wax in sections to give the hair texture and hold, and started with small (quarter-inch) sections to make sure the hair laid flat on her head. He gradually increased the size of the sections as he continued braiding down her head, and tucked and secured the ends under. Her sultry black-plum eye makeup made her green eyes pop.
For a Mad Men special screening in New York City, Christina Hendricks stunned (and honored her iconic glamorous character) with a classic cat-eye, voluminous waves, and unignorable lashes, all thanks to makeup artist Beau Nelson.
At the same event, supermodel Coco Rocha had us considering the merits of center-parted, slicked-back hair with thick black liner and equally thick, spidery lashes.
At the Game of Thrones season five premiere in San Francisco, series star Emilia Clarke looked both timeless and fresh in a matte orange lip with strongly-defined brows and matte gray shadow, courtesy of makeup artist and Byrdie favorite Kate Lee. The deep-side-parted, pulled-back hair came by way of hairstylist Adir Abergel.
Jennifer Lawrence looked soft and sultry with a gorgeous metallic smoky eye that was tempered by an unfussy, loose updo that we love.
Byrdie contributor Lindsay Ellingson also went for a smoky eye, which she paired with loose, bombshell waves of the model variety.
Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel gave us serious hair-envy, and proved that a metallic bronze eye with a glossy nude lip is a winning combo.
Like Emilia Clarke, Zoe Saldana went with a side-parted updo, along with bronze metallic eye makeup and the cherry (literally) on top: lipstick that matched her dress to a T. Perfection!
