One of the best parts of fall (and any time of the year if we're being completely honest) is snuggling into the deepest depths of our couch cushions with a generous pour of wine, the softest of sweats, and our favorite TV show. And with cool temperatures and even darker evenings looming, the ritual just seems all the more luxurious. Luckily, our Netflix account and our TV network of choice typically bless us with a killer lineup that simultaneously wreaks havoc on our beauty sleep. Famous last words: "Just one more episode."

Fall television is already gold in our eyes, but for the beauty inclined, Lifetime is dishing up an extra tasty treat. Three hints: Adriana Lima, Sir John (ahem, Beyoncé's makeup artist), and some good old-fashioned competition. Keep scrolling to learn ever glittering detail.

With enticing competitive flair reminiscent of such beloved shows as Project Runway and America's Next Top Model, Lifetime's American Beauty Star began production last June and premieres September 21.

For the series, A+E Networks and Herrick Entertainment are joining forces to create a new type of competitive television show. Grounded in beauty, episodes will feature a grand scope of lust-worthy beauty looks the industry's elite must handily have in their repertoire.

Hosted by supermodel Adriana Lima, the series will feature 12 celebrity stylists and salon professionals to compete in a series of challenges, from the abstract creation of high-end editorial looks to the quintessential glamour of red carpets and runway shows. By the end of the season, (you guessed it), only one contestant will be named American Beauty Star.

Celebrity makeup artist Sir John will be a mentor for the contestants and former Vogue beauty director Sarah Brown will serve as a judge. (Not to mention an all-star lineup of celebrity guest judges and beauty industry influencers.) Our opinion? Let the bingeing commence.
