Last year, the braided up-do reigned supreme, but now we’re seeing a new way to wear a plait: from the runway to the red carpet, this season’s braid is totally random. Nine ridiculously easy looks to copy, above.

    During Fashion Week Bumble and bumble hairstylist Laurent Philippon gave the models at Karen Walker’s show a variety of small braids—some French, some regular—but each one totally unique.

    Hairstylist David Delicourt gave Werbowy one of our favorite renditions: a small braid at the nape of her neck for a party in Paris. To cop the style, tease the end of your plait and spritz with hairspray, or pick up a clear elastic, like Goody’s Clear Bands ($5).
